Ballistic Blankets

BMIDefenseSystems' Custom Ballistic Blankets consist of a high-strength, lightweight ballistic insert with superior stopping power, a patent-pending, thermal barrier/flame resistant carrier that exceeds M1A1 requirements, and an engineered ballistic blanket restraint system with unprecedented holding power. Validated through USMC/TARDEC testing, BMIDefenseSystems' customized ballistic blanket solutions have been successfully tested against 20mm FSP without an armor face and outperformed all competitors' products density for density. A soft spall liner solution for your threat requirement is achieved without vehicle modification.
Ballistic blankets protection in a combat vehicle

Our custom Ballistic Blankets are designed to protect the warfighter from shrapnel in the event of an IED (Improvised Explosive Devise) blast. Validated through USMC/TARDEC testing, our ballistic blankets are designed to survive the blast without performance degradation. Our custom ballistic blankets consist of a high-strength, lightweight ballistic insert with a patent-pending thermal barrier/flame resistant carrier that exceeds M1A1 requirements and consists of fluid, flame and abrasion resistance and an engineered durable Attachment and Restraint System with unprecedented holding power.

BMIDefenseSystems' customized Ballistic Blanket solutions have been successfully tested against 20mm FSP without an armor face and have outperformed all competitors' products density for density. A soft spall liner solution for your threat requirement is achieved with easy install and without vehicle modification.

The Cougar Internal Ballistic Protection and Restraint System (IBRS) Provides extra protection to the vehicle occupants by the addition of a soft spall liner and a rail system to securely attach equipment cargo throughout the vehicle.

BMIDefenseSystems' Custom Ballistic Blankets are installed in all the Program Manager (PM) LAVs. Our blankets are designed to accommodate the complex shapes within vehicle platforms such as the LAV Doghouse Blanket System.
