LAV Scout Sling
Working with the US Marine Corps and PM LAV, BMICombatSystems has optimized the design and extended benefits of the 1150 series GPS to combat vehicles such as the LAV-25 in the development and fielding of the LAV-25 Scout Sling assembly. Proper battle defilade to the armored vehicle crewman is often the single most important factor in reducing casualty producing injuries during improvised explosive device (IED) attacks or vehicle accidents.
"LAV-25 Scout Sling Vehicle Modification Kit" P/N 1170 — NSN 2540-01-540-7315
The LAV armored crewman's tactical sling system enables the crewman to remain at the most combat effective low defilades while increasing mental and physical focus and stamina. The energy absorbing characteristics of the tactical seat help mitigate the injuries that can be sustained through IED impulse moment and concussion.
- Enables low profile IED protective battle posture for extended road march
- Reduces stress and fatigue enhancing reaction time and LAV scout's focus and concentration
- Triple redundant quick release mechanisms for immediate unimpeded ingress/egress
- Energy absorbing construction for improved protection from effects of IED impulse moment and concussion
